About Megato
Megato is a square sans typeface (角ゴシック体) with a distinct industrial vibe, evoking a strong sense of precision.
This font family offers six weights in two different widths, adding some spice to your font choices and making sure your next interstellar mission sounds just right - because even astronauts need the perfect typeface.
The »uniwidth« design ensures that there is no text wrapping when changing styles, making it ideal for highlighting text in user interface environments.
Megato is a multiscript font family, supporting Latin, Cyrillic, and Modern Greek.
Additionally, it supports Japanese Kana and partially a few Kanji, starting with the most common ones.
The long-term goal is to fully implement all Japanese Jōyō-Kanji (常用漢字) characters, with 260 out of 2136 currently supported.
Please note that the Kanji are still in beta and are subject to constant revision and development.
Rosetta’s Hyperglot tool certifies that Megato typface supports 316 languages. [2/21/2024]
The status of the Hebrew (Ivrit) script, especially the vowels, is still in beta, but generally, it works with modern Hebrew.
In Megatos italic styles, Kana and Hebrew letters remain upright but correspond in stem width to provide a balanced appearance.
Try it yourself!
For a limited time, get the Megato Light font license for the symbolic price of just 1 Euro.
Don't rely solely on the website's font preview, as it utilizes a limited character set.
To truly test and explore the full potential of these fonts, we recommend investing a mere 1 Euro for a complete font style.
We decided to offer the fonts in a kind of »Early Access« for licensing.
The Latin part of the fonts is 100% working and Cyrillic and Greek close behind.
As for Japanese Hiragana and Katakana, they are implemented and we work on the missing Jōyō-Kanji.
Please consider the Japanese characters in the font to be an addition at this time, rather than a feature.
Even so, the current selection of Japanese characters works fine for advertising headlines.
However, it is primarily optimized for horizontal writing.
We highly value your feedback!
Designing the Kanji is both time-consuming and incredibly enjoyable.
By purchasing your font license early, you have the privilege of obtaining the fonts at a discounted price before the final version is released.
You can always update to the latest version without any additional charges.
