Missale Incana is a redesigned, new interpretation of Erler Versalien (Erler Capitals, 1952) — a typeface by Herbert Thannhaeuser. A strong, calligraphic roman typeface for some expressive headlines.
Erler Versalien were created in connection with Thannhaeusers typeface Meister Antiqua (1940-1952) and named after the punch cutter Otto Erler.
Erler cut many of the punches for Thannhaeusers typefaces at Schelter & Giesecke and later at Typoart.
